Tuna Pesto Pizza
Tuna Pesto Pizza
This combination is pretty delicious! I used Flat breads that I had on hand but you could definitely use a store bought or home made Pizza dough for this.
Ingredients
1 Package Good Catch Fish Free Tuna Naked in Water
2 Flat Breads or 1 Pizza dough
2 cups of Fresh Basil Leaves
1/3 cup Pine Nuts
1/2 cup grated Parmesan ( I like Violife & Follow Your Heart brands)
1/2 tsp of Salt
Pepper to taste
2 cloves of Garlic
1/3 - 1/2 cup of good Organic Oil (I used grapeseed )
Directions
1. To make the Pesto Sauce: combine the Basil, Garlic, Pine Nuts, Parmesan, salt & pepper in a food processor.
2. Pulse about 6-8 times or until mixture is crumbly
3. Then with the processor on low, slowly add the oil 1/3 cup at at time until the mixture comes together like a loose paste
4. To make the Pizza: spread the pesto on the dough (if using flatbread or anything smaller then just use a few Tbsp of the pesto)
5. Add the Naked in Water Fish Free Tuna
6. Add a bit more grated Parm if desired
7. Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes or until toppings are bubbling and crust is browned
