Full English Breakfast
This is not so much of a recipe as it is an opportunity to show you that pretty much everything can be made Vegan and that you really don’t miss out on anything by choosing to live a Vegan / Plant Based lifestyle. Nowadays there are so many companies putting out tasty realistic alternatives to Milk, Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Burgers, Yogurt, Cheese and more that it has become so easy to Veganize old classic dishes and delicious comfort foods.
Remaking my favorite foods or taking on the challenge of Veganizing a new dish is one of my favorite things about creating and sharing recipes. I hope this Full English Breakfast which is a perfect example of Veganizing a classic dish helps inspire you to try new ingredients and venture into the world of Vegan alternatives. You may just like them!
Serves 2
Ingredients
2 Vegan Sausages (I love Beyond Meat but you can use any Vegan Sausage)
2 Vegan Fried Eggs (I used All Vegetarian Inc but you can use Tofu or Just Egg)
1 medium Tomato cut in half
1 can of Baked Beans (Heinz is Vegan)
2 slices of Toast w/ Vegan Butter ( I love Miyoko’s or Earth Balance)
4 slices of Vegan Bacon (I use All Vegetarian Inc)
1 cup of Mushrooms sliced
1-2 tsp of grape Seed Oil
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
Directions
1. Sauté the Mushrooms in the Grape Seed Oil with the Garlic Powder, Salt & Pepper until nicely browned. Set aside
2. Sear the cut side of the Tomatoes on med high heat for a few minutes until they have browned.
3. Cook the Sausage and Bacon according to package directions
4. Cook the Fried Egg or other Egg substitutes according to package directions. Set aside
5. Warm up the Beans in a pot on the stove top.
6. Assemble your plate with Buttered Toast, Beans, Mushrooms, Tomato, Sausage, Bacon and Eggs
