Classic “No” Tuna Melts

I have to say before going Vegan, I really enjoyed the Classic Tuna Melt. Now thanks to companies like Good Catch Foods who have sucessfully created a plant based fish free Tuna I can make them again! The Vegan Tuna is made from legumes and is full of protein without any fishy smell. This is a really easy recipe perfect for lunches and will satisfy any non-vegan!

Serves 2



2 Packages of Good Catch Foods Tuna Naked in Water

1 1/2 Tbsp of Follow Your Heart Vegenaise or other Vegan Mayo

1 Rib of Celery finely chopped

1 Carrot shredded

1/2 tsp of Dried Tarragon

1/2 tsp of Onion Salt or Onion Powder

Salt & Pepper to taste

2 Slices of Vegan Cheddar Cheese

2 Slices of Bread of your choice

Optional: Micro Greens or other Salad Greens

Vegan Butter


1.Mix together the Tuna, Vegenaise, Celery, Carrot and Spices

2. Lightly toast the Bread and Butter it

3. Top each piece of toast with a handful of Greens then about half of the Tuna mixture.

4. Add a slice of Vegan Cheese on top and broil at 500 until the Cheese is nice and melty.

5. Serve with a side Salad or bowl of Soup to make it a more substantial meal for dinner.
