Spicy Miso Pasta

It’s the simple but seriously flavorful ingredients that make this Pasta so easy and so good! This is the perfect dish for when you’re looking for something uncomplicated but delicious to whip up. I happen to love Chili Crisp and put it on everything but if you’re not into spice try just a little or skip it and enjoy the Miso Butter combination.

Serves 2

Ingredients

8 oz (227 g) Bucatini or other long pasta
2 heaping Tbsp (35g) of Miso Paste (my favorite is Cold Mountain MIso)
2 Tbsp (30 g) Vegan Butter
2-3 tsp (30-45g) Chili Crisp or to taste
2 Green Onions sliced (white and green parts separated)
1 1/2 tsp (7.5 ml) Soy Sauce
Salt & Pepper to taste
1 -1 1/2 cups (236-356 ml) reserved Pasta Water

Directions

1. Cook the pasta according to package directions.

2. While the pasta is cooking, melt the butter in a large skillet on medium heat.

3. Add the miso paste and whisk together to incorporate.

4. Add in the white parts of the green onion along with the chili crisp. Mix well and allow to continue cooking for 3-4 minutes or until the green onions soften.

5. Add in the cooked pasta and 1 cup of the pasta water and mix well. Add more water as needed to thin the sauce to your desired consistency. Allow the pasta to heat through and toss with green parts of the onion before serving.
