Picadillo

I have seen many variations of the tradtional recipe, my take is slightly diffrent as well. I’m not a fan of Raisins in savory dishes so I substituted them for a bit of Date Syrup and also left out the capers. Feel free to make this recipe your own, it will be delicious any way you make it!


 
 

Ingredients

1 Package of Beyond Meat Burgers

1 can of chopped Tomatoes

3/4 cup chopped Onion

3 cloves of Garlic

1/2 tsp of Date Syrup

1/2 cup sliced Green Olives with Pimentos

1 packet of Sazon Goya Seasoning

( If you prefer to use all natural ingredients, sub: 1/2 tsp of Annatto, 1/2 tsp of ground Corriander and 1 tsp of ground Cumin)

Salt & Pepper to taste

Cooked Jasmine or other White Rice

Serves 2

Directions

1. Sauté the Onion and Garlic until onions are translucent

2. Add in the crumbled Beyond Burgers and seasonings and brown for a few minutes on med-low heat

3. Add in the Tomatoes and adjust for Salt. Continue to cook for 5-10 minutes

4. Add in the sliced Olives and continue to cook for 5-10 minutes before serving with cooked Rice
