BLT Caesar Salad

Classic Caesar Salad with the addition of Tomatoes Bacon made from Yuba!



Head of Romaine Lettuce

Cherry or Compari Tomatoes

2/3 cup Grated Vegan Parm ( I like Follow Your Heart or Violife brands)

Dressing Ingredients

1/2 cup Sunflower Seeds ( I use GoRaw Sprouted Sunflower Seeds)

1/2 Raw Cashews ( I use Terrasoul Mylk cashews)

1/3 cup Lemon Juice

2 Tsp of Vegan Worcestershire Sauce

2 tsp of Dijon Mustard

2 tsp of Tamari or Braggs Amino Acids (you can sub a light soy sauce)

2 cloves of Garlic

1/3 cup Nutritional Yeast (you can use grated parm instead)

1/3 - 1/2 cup of Water

Yuba or Rice Paper Bacon Ingredients

1 package of Hodo Foods Yuba Sheets (you can use a few sheets of rice paper if you can’t find Yuba)

2 Tbsp of Tamari / Soy Sauce

1 Tbsp of Maple Syrup

1/4 tsp of Smoked Paprika

1/4 tsp of Garlic Powder

1/4 tsp of Umami Flavoring ( I use Trader Joe’s brand)

a few dashes of Liquid Smoke


1. To make the Caesar Dressing; Soak the Cashews and Sunflower Seeds (in seperate bowls) in Hot water for at least 30 minutes

2. Blend together the soaked and rinsed Cashews, Sunflower Seeds, Worcestershire Sauce, Dijon Mustard, 1/3 cup grated Parm, Garlic, water and Lemon Juice until very smooth and creamy

3. To make the Yuba or Rice Paper Bacon; cut the Yuba into semi wide strips

2. Mix together the Maple Syrup, Soy Sauce and spices and place the strips of Yuba into the marinade for about 10 -15 minutes

3. Fry the Bacon Strips until crispy or desired texture. Cut into smaller pieces to use in the salad

4. Assemble the Salad; Wash and cut the Romaine Lettuce and toss with a generous amount of the dressing

5. Add in the grated Parmesan, Tomatoes and Bacon pieces

5. Toss well to make sure everything is coated. Add more dressing and cheese if needed
