Pozole Ingredients

Can of Jackfruit

6 cups of water 

1 Large can of Hominy 

2 tsp of ground Guajillo Pepper

1 1/2 tsps of @betterthanbouillon Veggie Bouillon 

1 tsp of Garlic Powder

1 tsp of Ground Sage

1 tsp of Oregano 

2 tsp of Ground Cumin

Small Onion Chopped 

4 Garlic Cloves

Small can of Tomato Sauce 

Salt & Pepper to taste

Hot Sauce Ingredients:

10 - 12 Chili de Arbol 

2 cloves of Garlic 

1 Tbsp Chopped Onion

Salt to taste 

Hot water to cover 

Pozole Directions

1. Rinse and drain the Jackfruit, cut into smaller pieces and season with the garlic powder and sage and let sit in hot water for at least 30 minutes. 

2. Drain and squeeze out excess water 

3. Sauté the onion, garlic, bouillon and spices until onions are translucent 

4. Add in the rinsed and drained Hominy along with the Jackfruit and Tomato Sauce and a few tsps of the homemade Hot Sauce and let cook on medium heat for about 20 minutes 

5. Add water and continue to simmer on med - low heat for at least 1 hour until everything is tender and flavors have developed 

6. Serve with chopped Radish, Lettuce, Tortilla Strips, Cilantro & Hot Sauce

Hot Sauce Directions

1. Remove the stem and seeds from the chillies and add to a bowl along with the rest of the ingredients and cover with Hot water for 30 to 60 minutes 

2. Blend well and store in a jar in the refrigerator
