Beer Cheese Dip

Who doesn’t love a hot Cheesy dip?! This Beer Cheese Dip is tangy with tons of flavor and is so easy to make. It’s a crowd pleaser even when the crowd is just you! I suggest using a Beer you enjoy drinking and if Beer is not your thing then just add more Plant Milk in its place.

Serves 4-6


 
 

Ingredients

8 oz (235g) of Vegan Cheddar Cheese shredded (I used Violife Epic Cheddar block that I shredded)

2/3 cup (100g) of Vegan Cream Cheese (my favorite is Tofutti)

3 Tbsp (15g) of Vegan Butter

3 Tbsp (15g) of Flour

2/3 cup (158 ml) Vegan Beer of your choice (use a beer that you like to drink or sub more plant milk)

3/4 cup (177 ml) Plant Milk

1 tsp (5g) of Garlic Powder

1 tsp (5g) of Onion Powder

1/2 tsp (2.5g) of Smoked Paprika

2 tsp (10 ml) of Dijon Mustard

2 tsp (10 ml) of Vegan Worcestershire Sauce

Salt & Pepper to taste

Serve with soft Pretzels, Pretzel Bites, Pita Chips, Veggie sticks or Apple sticks

Directions

1. In a medium sized pot melt the Butter on med high heat.

2. Add the flour and whisk until smooth. Add in the Garlic Powder, Onion Powder and Smoked Paprika and mix until blended.

3. Add the Beer in a little at a time while whisking. Once incorporated, add in the Milk the same way. Allow the mixture to heat up and lightly bubble

4. Add in the Cream Cheese, Worcestershire and Dijon Mustard and whisk until smooth.

5. Slowly add in the shredded Cheddar and mix until melted. Season with salt & Pepper.

6. Lower the heat to medium and continue to mix until completely smooth. Should take about 4-5 minutes.

7. Serve immediately with either soft Pretzels, Pretzel Bites, Pita Chips, Veggies or even Apple slices
